Beautiful to see, under the sea earrings are etched, oxydized copper depicting the flowing grass and star fishes you might find there.  Etchings are created by carefully cutting and applying material to the metal before placing it into a solution that dissolves small amounts of copper where appliques are absent.  Each scene will have slight variations.
